I'm building a PC and have the Asrock Steel Legend RX 9070 paired with an Adata XPG Core Reactor II 850W power supply. My PSU has several PCIe pigtail cables and an additional 12-pin cable that seems to be for GPUs. I have a couple of questions: 1) Should I use a single pigtail PCIe cable to power my GPU, or would it be better to use two cables with one 6+2 pin from each? 2) The 12-pin cable fits in the 12VHPWR slot on the PSU, which I think is meant for more powerful GPUs, but it doesn't connect to my card since mine requires two separate connectors. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I have the Steel Legend 9070 XT, and it uses two 8-pin cables, so it sounds like your model might need the same. Typically, only the higher-end versions like the Nitro+ or Taichi from Asrock require the 12VHPWR connector.

So, it seems like the 12-pin is definitely not for you. Should I stick to one pigtail PCIe cable or do you think that won't provide enough power? Also, did your GPU come with an ARGB cable?
