Recently, I had to complete a Captcha to browse Google, and I'm curious about how many times I can encounter this before facing an account ban. Also, could getting these Captchas mean that my account is compromised, possibly due to a virus or someone hacking into it?

If you're using a VPN, that could definitely trigger those Captchas. I get them every time I switch on my VPN! But if you're not using one, it might be a browser extension causing the issue.
It usually takes about 4 Captchas before Google might consider banning an account. After the fourth, who knows what could happen? That's when the authorities might get involved, which sounds pretty scary!
You should be okay! Even if you're not on a VPN, try completing the Captchas when they show up. It seems like a hassle, but your account is unlikely to be banned just for that.
