I'm considering building a system with the 14700K paired with DDR4 3200 CL16 RAM. Are there still any known issues with these processors, or have the BIOS problems been resolved? I'm wondering because I'm torn between getting the 14700K and the 12700K. While I know that for 4k and 1440p gaming the 14700K might be overkill, I play a lot of CS2 and I really want those extra frames at 1080p.

I’ve owned a 13700K since its launch and didn’t apply any of the microcode or BIOS updates. Honestly, I've never experienced any problems during those three years. So far, so good!
I’ve been using a 13700K with the BIOS fix for about two years now, and I haven’t run into any issues at all. The only thing I've noticed is that one specific game does stutter if I install the latest BIOS, but overall, the first fix has worked great for me. If I had to choose again, I might go with AMD, but this CPU is still pretty powerful!
That’s good to know! How did you manage the BIOS update? I’m not very tech-savvy with BIOS stuff. Can it be done without a USB drive?
That's interesting! Do you have it running with DDR4 or DDR5? I’ve seen some videos suggesting that DDR4 might not face the same voltage issues.
