Help with FPS Drops and Stuttering Issues on My Gaming PC

I'm experiencing some frustrating performance issues while gaming on my PC. Here are my specs:

- **OS**: Windows 11
- **CPU**: AMD Ryzen 5 5500
- **GPU**: MSI NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 8GB SHADOW 2X
- **Motherboard**: MSI A520M-A PRO
- **RAM**: Kingston FURY Beast 32GB 3200MHz DDR4
- **Storage**: MSI Spatium M450 M.2 SSD 1TB
- **Cooling**: Endorfy Spartan 5 ARGB
- **Power Supply**: MSI MAG A550BN 550W

I want to play the latest AAA titles like Clair obscur: Expedition 33, Marvel Rivals, Cyberpunk 2077, and Arc Raiders, but my FPS is super inconsistent. For instance, the average FPS can hit around 90, but my 1% lows drop to about 40. From what I've seen, this GPU should reach at least 90 FPS with DLSS in Arc Raiders and have 1% lows around 70 to 75 FPS on epic settings. I've updated all my drivers through the NVIDIA app and enabled G-Sync on my 240Hz monitor, but I'm still getting stutters. I suspect it's not a VRAM issue since I have over 2GB in reserve. I'm planning a factory reset today, but can anyone help me troubleshoot this problem?

It sounds like your CPU might be bottlenecking your performance a bit. The Ryzen 5 5500 isn’t the best match for the 5060 Ti. Have you checked your VRAM usage during gaming? If it’s exceeding 8GB, it could contribute to stuttering. Try comparing your performance with more reputable benchmarks as well, since YouTube can be hit or miss.

What CPU would you recommend for the AM4 platform in that case?

My friend has an RX 9060 XT paired with a weaker CPU and doesn’t seem to face these problems at all.

Check out steps 1-7, 9, and 10-12 from this troubleshooting guide. It's really detailed, and I think steps 5, 9, 11, and 12 could be key for you. If the problem persists, look into step 17 to ensure everything's nice and cool. Let us know how it goes after you try these solutions!

I’ll try those when I get home! Quick question though, would a factory reset help with these issues too?
