I'm having trouble with my internet setup in my new house. I have an NBN plan and I'm using an Arris CM8200 modem, which seems to work fine. However, I also purchased a D-Link DSL-245GE router, and now my internet connection only works for one device at a time. The device with an active connection shows the IP address 100.86.64.1, while the other device displaying the correct router address has 192.168.1.1. Oddly, I can't access the router settings page on the device that has the connection, and the other device can access it but doesn't let me log in with the admin password. I've reset both the router and modem, but the problem persists. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

It sounds like your D-Link might still be configured as a DSL modem/router by default. You’ll need to change one of the available ports to a WAN port. First, disconnect the Arris modem, then try to access the router's configuration page directly. Look for a setting that lets you switch one of the LAN ports to WAN, and connect your modem there. If that doesn't work, you might want to consider getting a different router that’s more compatible with your setup.
Another possibility is that the ISP gateway needs to be put into tunnel mode. This allows the router to assign multiple IPs. This might help solve your issue.

How do I actually go about changing that setting?
