Hey folks! I'm in a bit of a bind with my Acer Helios 500 and could really use some advice on how to possibly fix it. Here's the situation:
1. I updated to Windows 11 about a month ago.
2. About two months ago, I removed the battery because it stopped charging; my laptop would turn off as soon as I unplugged it.
3. Just today, while using it, the screen went black. At first, I thought it was frozen, so I did a hard reboot by holding down the power button.
4. It turned back on to the login screen, but shortly after logging in, it shut down again.
5. The next restart only got me to the Predator logo before it switched off.
6. Now, when I try to start it, there's no response at all – not even a hint of electricity. I tested the charger, and it's delivering around 19V as expected.
7. I also opened up the laptop to look for loose connections or visible issues, but everything seems fine.
8. When I plug it in, I notice there are no indicator LEDs showing power.
Oh, and just so you know, I was using the USB port to charge my iPhone 8 as I usually do.
Is there anything I can try myself to troubleshoot this? Thanks a ton!

Replacing the battery is really the best option if the laptop isn’t responding at all after its removal. Even if you primarily use it plugged in, having a working battery can sometimes help stabilize performance. Given the age of the components, it’s worth looking into getting a new battery to see if that resolves the issue!
You may want to double-check your power adapter and connections since you’re getting no power indications. If that checks out, and since the battery was removed, your laptop might be struggling to start due to hardware issues or motherboard failure. If you're comfortable, reseating the RAM or even checking the power button connection can sometimes resolve these issues.
