Is It Safe to Use My GPU Without the PCIe Slot Cover?

I forgot to reinstall the PCIe slot cover after installing my GPU, and I've been using it like this for a month without any issues. I'm curious if it's really necessary to reinstall it or if my setup will be fine as is. I would share an image for clarity, but I can't upload one. Apologies if my English isn't perfect; it's my second language!

Just feel the GPU; if it feels secure and doesn't move when you gently wiggle it, you might be fine for now. But keep an eye on it! If you can, reinstall that cover when you get a chance.

It sounds like you're referring to the bracket that secures the PCIe cards in place. I'd definitely recommend reinstalling it if you can. If your GPU shifts even slightly, it could get damaged or cause issues for the whole system. Better safe than sorry!

I had the same situation once, and I can tell you it’s best to install it properly. It may not seem like a big deal at first, but over time, any movement could lead to problems. Consider putting it back as soon as possible!
