Could My GPU and Motherboard PCIe Connection Be the Cause of My Problems?

Hey everyone, I'm troubleshooting some issues that started happening after a long-distance move, and I'm beginning to think it might be a hardware problem. I didn't remove my GPU during the move, which I now realize could have been a mistake. Here are my specs: I have an AMD Ryzen 7 5700 CPU, an AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT GPU, 32 GB of RAM, and my motherboard is an ASRock B550X-C R2.0.

Lately, I've been experiencing random crashes, and before the crashes, I see strange green pixelation on my screen. Specifically, when I try to run more demanding games like Last Epoch and Monster Hunter Rise, they crash almost immediately with a fatal D3D error. On the other hand, less demanding games seem to run perfectly fine.

I've attempted a clean uninstall and reinstall of my drivers, and I physically re-seated the GPU in the top PCIe slot, which didn't solve the issue. I also tried moving it to the second PCIe slot, but the problems persisted. The fact that some games work while others don't has me second-guessing if this is a hardware failure or a software issue. I'm looking for any insights or suggestions you may have!

First off, make sure to rule out any software issues before diving into hardware fixes. A clean install of Windows might help if you haven't already done that. Next, your symptoms could suggest a problem with the graphics card, or possibly even the power supply to it. Testing with spare parts could easily help diagnose the issue, but I know that's not always possible for everyone.

I did perform a fresh Windows install recently. I really wish I had spare parts to test! Moving the GPU to different PCIe slots seems to point to the motherboard being okay, right? That makes me lean towards the GPU possibly being the one that's failing.
