Hey everyone! I'm gearing up to build my first PC after a decade without one, and I really need your input! I want a powerhouse machine that can process large mass spectrometry datasets, handle computational chemistry tasks, and manage all the number-crunching research activities I do. At the same time, I want it to run the latest games smoothly with great graphics and be future-proof for a VR setup down the line. I've started putting together a build and would love your advice on it. I'm also open to any tips on the building process itself! Thanks a ton for your help!

Your build looks pretty solid! Since productivity is your main priority, I’d suggest ditching the case and using the $600 you save to invest in a dual 32GB RAM kit. I know it feels like a lot for RAM, but the pricing is rough right now!
