What are some good UEM alternatives for a fully remote team using MS 365?

I'm aware that Intune is a popular solution, but I'm exploring other options just to be safe. We work in a completely remote setting and use Microsoft 365 for our email and identity management. Our setup includes about 150 Windows devices and 50 iOS/Android devices. Here are the features I definitely need:

1. Device inventory
2. Software license tracking per device
3. Remote access and management capabilities
4. Device locking and wiping options
5. Geolocation services
6. Deployment of application and OS updates with silent install.

Currently, I'm trying out ManageEngine Endpoint Central, but I ran into a problem because it requires a network location for building install packages, which doesn't work for us since we don't have a central network. I'm eager to hear your recommendations and experiences with other UEM tools!

If ManageEngine is asking for a network share, it seems like you're testing the On-Prem version. You should consider Endpoint Central Cloud, as it resolves that "no central network" issue by hosting the repository yourself. Given your situation with 200 fully remote devices, you might be looking for a Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) tool rather than a traditional UEM. I recommend checking out NinjaOne; it meets all your listed needs:

- **Remote Control**: NinjaOne has built-in remote access (it used to be TeamViewer, now Splashtop). On the other hand, Intune requires extra costs for remote help.
- **Patching**: It handles OS and third-party app updates seamlessly over the internet.
- **Speed**: Changes happen almost instantly, unlike Intune, which can take hours to sync.

+1 for NinjaOne! I've worked with both and NinjaOne is arguably the best for remote management.

Does NinjaOne offer remote onboarding features, like Workspace ONE's no-touch device deployment? I might need that.

Workspace ONE will also meet your requirements and might be worth considering.

I'm checking out Workspace ONE right now, but I'm a bit frustrated by the lack of screenshots and online demos. It makes it tough to evaluate, but I am interested in their remote onboarding feature, which could be a great addition.
