What upgrades should I consider for my 2020 PC build with a Ryzen 2600X and GTX 1660 Ti?

I'm looking to boost my FPS and overall gaming performance so I can play more demanding games on high settings while matching my monitor's refresh rate of 165Hz. My current setup is a Ryzen 5 2600X CPU, an EVGA SC Ultra 1660 Ti GPU, 32GB of DDR4 RAM, and an ASRock B450M Pro4 motherboard. My budget is flexible, but I don't want to break the bank!

You might want to consider upgrading to a used Ryzen 5 5600X for around $130. For the GPU, look into a refurbished Zotac 3060 which is about $161. If your budget can stretch, a refurbished 3070 Ti from Zotac is going for around $240. However, at that price, you could also consider the 9060 XT, but just keep in mind its performance relative to its VRAM.

That sounds like a solid plan! Would you suggest any other GPUs that offer more VRAM?

Good advice, but I'd be cautious about the 9060 XT. It tends to lag behind the 3070 series in performance, despite having more VRAM. I'd recommend aiming for something a bit higher-end if your budget allows.

First off, what power supply do you have? And also, what games are you planning to play and at what resolution? Knowing this can really help narrow down the best upgrade options for you.

I have a Thermaltake Smart 700W 80+ certified PSU. I play games like Arc Raiders, CSGO, FiveM, Battlefield, Apex Legends, Fortnite, BeamNG, and Assetto Corsa. Most games are optimized and I run them at 2560x1440.
