Can I really compress a 2GB video down to just 10MB?

I'm curious if it's at all feasible to shrink a 5-hour long video that's 2GB in size down to a mere 10MB. I want to know if this is possible, even if it means sacrificing quality completely. Will the audio alone make reaching that size impossible?

In theory, sure, but good luck being able to see or understand anything. It'll be a total mess!

Yes, you can technically compress a 5-hour video down to 10MB, but honestly, it'll look super blurry and pixelated. It's not really worth it. A good rule of thumb is to stick to at least 3Mb/s for HEVC at 1080p.

Totally agree! At those settings, you're likely to end up with a video that's barely recognizable.

Exactly! You'll lose way too much detail.

Just the audio itself, if compressed to 96kbps, would already be around 86.4MB. So, trying to fit the whole video in 10MB sounds like a bad idea.

It is possible, but you'd need some advanced techniques like fractal encoding! Good luck if you go that route.

Honestly, why do you even want to do that? It just doesn't make sense to me.
