Hey everyone, I'm in a pretty tough situation here. I can't log into my work email that's managed by Microsoft. It prompted me to change my password, which I did, but now it's requesting verification through Microsoft Authenticator. The catch is that I never set up the Authenticator. I don't have access to the email it's tied to, and unfortunately, my organization can't help me regain access to that email either. This email holds so much important information for me, and I'm really stressed about it. I can't even sign in to select a different verification method or reach out for help through the portal. Any advice on what I should do?

Without access to 2FA, things can get tricky. If your IT can't help you out, it might be a dead end. Microsoft’s recovery forms generally don’t work for work accounts, so you may need to lean on your IT for support.
Since it's a company email, IT should definitely be able to reset your 2FA. They'll authenticate your identity and help you set up Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) again. Just ask them for assistance! You can find more info on MFA settings at aka.ms/mfasetup.
You really should reach out to your IT department. They can usually help with resetting 2FA on work accounts like yours.
Did you by chance set up any backup authentication methods like a phone number or a different email? That could have helped in this situation.

No! It never gave me the option for that, and I'm really not familiar with it.
