Help! Questions About My PC Performance After GPU Upgrade

I recently upgraded my PC from a GTX 1650 to an RTX 5070TI, which is a huge jump. My specs include 2x8GB RAM, a 5600X CPU, and an ASUS ROG Strix b550 Gaming WiFi II motherboard. I also use a 1440p 170HZ Korui Monitor. I've had my prebuilt PC for about three years, starting with the GTX 1650 and gradually upgrading everything until now with this new GPU. I have a couple of questions: First, if I add a 1x16GB RAM stick to my current 2x8GB setup, will it improve or diminish FPS and gaming performance? I've heard about Flex Mode but I'm unsure if it slows things down compared to just using 2x8GB or 2x16GB sticks. Secondly, since installing the 5070TI, I'm able to run games like ARC RAIDERS, but I'm only hitting 70-90 FPS when I should be getting around 140+. I've tried tweaking the game settings and updated my drivers, but I'm still confused. Some people mentioned RAM resets and BIOS changes, which I don't know much about. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Honestly, I'd recommend just getting another 2x8GB kit instead of adding the 1x16GB. It’ll usually perform better that way and save you potential headaches with mixed RAM.

It depends on how you’re using your RAM. If 16GB isn’t enough for your gaming needs, adding that 1x16GB stick could help. But if 16GB is sufficient, mixing RAM like that might actually slow things down. Usually, keeping the 2x8GB setup is fine unless you find yourself hitting 16GB usage often. By the way, how's your GPU and CPU usage while gaming? That could give us more insight!

Google might not be right about ARC RAIDERS. You should be getting around 100-120 FPS at 1440p high settings with the 5070TI. Your CPU and RAM speed matter here too. Also, enable DLSS in your settings for better performance without losing much visual quality. Don’t forget to check if your RAM's overclock settings are enabled!

How do I check if my RAM overclock is active? Also, I’ve got an MSI 5070TI Gaming Trio OC; would overclocking or undervolting it help improve performance?
