Hey everyone! I've had some serious issues with cloud backups before, and I've decided not to depend on them anymore. I'm looking for advice on how to completely uninstall OneDrive from my computer. I'm already signed out, but it still keeps asking me about backups. Plus, all my files are in the OneDrive folder. Any tips on doing this safely? Thanks!

While other tips are solid, I recommend backing up all your files first. You can download a Windows ISO and use Rufus to make a bootable USB. This way, you can set up a local account and eliminate the cloud connections altogether.
First off, make sure you back up any data you have in those OneDrive folders. A clean install of Windows without internet access is a great way to go. After the initial setup, remove OneDrive, then reboot before reconnecting to the internet.

Just a heads-up, OneDrive isn’t really a backup. It's better to avoid putting files in that folder altogether. If you accidentally sync something and delete it locally, it vanishes from the cloud too. Just be cautious with where you store your files!
