I recently switched to using Microsoft Bing for the rewards program and discovered a program called "find-it.pro" installed on my ROG Zephyrus G14 GA403WM. I've heard that it's malware. Additionally, I've come across several versions of the Microsoft Visual C++ 2007 Redistributable (and other years like 2008, 2010, etc.) on my computer, but I don't recognize them and can't find much info about them online. The "find-it.pro" only appears when I use Bing; it doesn't show up on Chrome, Brave, or Firefox. Can someone confirm if these programs are safe? What's the best way to remove "find-it.pro"?

The C++ Redistributables are usually safe if they’re from a legitimate source. If you suspect that "find-it.pro" is malware, it's crucial to take action. Ideally, you might want to do a complete wipe of your system and reinstall Windows to ensure you're starting fresh. Malware can often hide itself, making it tricky to fully remove, even if you think you've deleted it.

Since "find-it.pro" only shows on Bing, it might be related to your Bing searches specifically. However, it’s wise to be cautious because some malware can track activity across different browsers.

To check if the C++ Redistributable is genuine, you can revisit the official Microsoft website and compare the version numbers with what you have installed. Look for the same version and come from the official distributor.
