I'm having a real struggle trying to download a game that I purchased from Google Play onto my Chromebook. The game is 40 GB, but my device only has 32 GB of storage, and after deleting everything, I only have 1.7 GB free. I've reset my Chromebook and cleared out any apps or files, but somehow there's still about 29.1 GB of system storage being used. I even added a 128 GB MicroSD card, but the game needs to be downloaded to the internal storage before I can transfer it. I'm stuck because I can't find what's taking up all that space, and since the game is larger than my available storage, I'm not sure if it can even be downloaded. I thought about using Linux, but setting that up also requires 3 GB of storage. As a side note, I already paid £15 for the game, and it's frustrating that I can't download it. Google Play also turned my purchase into credits, but they expire soon. What can I do?

Unfortunately, you can't download a game that exceeds your device's storage capacity. The current internal storage is not upgradeable on most Chromebooks, but if you can provide the make and model of your device, I might be able to check if there's any possibility to change that. Otherwise, investing in a laptop that suits your gaming needs could be the best option.
You might want to look for a more powerful laptop if you're looking to play larger games. They'll usually have better storage options. I know they can be pricey, but sometimes you can find decent refurbished ones that won’t break the bank!
Refurbished sounds like a good plan—it's better than nothing if new ones are too expensive.
