I'm relatively new to the development world and I'm wondering if it's typical to feel like I barely know anything about coding, especially being in my second year of a computer science degree. If this feeling isn't unusual, what can I do to become more comfortable with coding? Also, should I be working on coding projects during my college years to build a portfolio for when I graduate? I'm aware that the job market is competitive with many university graduates around.

Absolutely, practice is key! Start working on small personal projects to tackle some problems you face. They don't have to be groundbreaking—just something to build your skills and confidence.
It's completely normal to feel like you're not that great at programming, especially as a CS student. Many people struggle for years, but you'll get more comfortable as you improve your skills. Just keep at it!
I had a similar experience where I had a ton of ideas but felt lost when it came to putting everything together. You'll find that creating software requires more than just knowing a few programming languages; it's about understanding how to integrate everything into a full project.
What do you mean it doesn’t take knowing only a couple of languages? Can you explain?

Thanks for the encouragement! I appreciate it.
