I recently got a PC case from a neighbor who's moving out. The new case has an ASUS motherboard, an Intel CPU, and 4GB of DDR3 RAM, which is lighter and simpler than my current setup. My PC has a Black Series motherboard with 4GB of DDR2 RAM and an AMD CPU. I'm wondering how to make use of this new case. Can I connect it to my current PC? Is there any way to use the DDR3 RAM with my existing system, or can I at least transfer the hard drive? The found case is from around 2010, while mine is from around 2013 to 2015. What's the best way to utilize this new case, or would it be better to sell it and upgrade my own setup instead?

It really sounds like your neighbor's PC is better than yours in many ways. I'd suggest doing a fresh Windows install on the new machine and then transferring your old hard drives to bring over your data.
It's likely that the new PC is actually better than your current one. You might want to consider switching your GPU over to that case completely. If you're keen on keeping your original setup, you can definitely add the hard drive from the new case to your current PC, but you can't mix DDR2 and DDR3 RAM since they're not compatible.
Honestly, both of these PCs are old enough that it's probably best just to recycle them and put the cash towards a new setup. If you want a GPU, maybe flip your old PC for some extra funds.
Why not install a fresh copy of Windows 10 on the new PC and move your HDD over? It's a newer system than your current setup, and reusing parts from your old system isn't really worth it aside from the hard drive.
