How to Fix My Laptop After Spilling a Sugar-Free Drink?

I accidentally spilled about three tablespoons of a sugar-free drink on my laptop, and I'm really worried about the damage. I immediately turned off the laptop and flipped it upside down to drain the liquid, but some of it was dripping out of the keyboard. The drink contains stevia and citric acid, which makes me even more concerned. I don't have any isopropyl alcohol at hand, and I can't remove the battery. I need to get my laptop up and running again within the next eight hours. Is there anything else I can do, or is it too risky to try and fix it?

Dude, don't stress too much just yet! I spilled something similar once, and I managed to save my laptop. After you’ve dabbed the liquid, leave it upside down in a dry area for several hours. If you can, get some silica gel packets to absorb any moisture. And yeah, do consider getting isopropyl alcohol—it'll help you out in the long run. Just make sure everything is completely dry before turning it back on!

First things first, you really need to get some isopropyl alcohol if you can. It's great for cleaning up spills like this because it evaporates quickly and is safe for electronics. If you decide to use rubbing alcohol, just make sure it's at least 70% concentration. You'll want to take apart your keyboard to clean it properly, but if you’re not comfortable with that, just letting it air dry might be okay. Just don’t turn it back on until you’re sure it’s completely dry.
