Cleaning Headphones with Alcohol Gel – Is That Safe?

Hey everyone, I just cleaned my QCY T13 headphones with alcohol gel for the first time around noon. I might have used too much and I'm worried about it potentially getting inside the headphones. I left them to dry in front of a fan, and after testing them three times over the past few hours, they still seem to work fine. Should I be concerned about any long-term damage?

Using alcohol gel, like hand sanitizer, isn’t the best choice for cleaning electronics. Isopropyl alcohol is the go-to for that since it won’t corrode metal parts. Based on your tests, it sounds like your headphones are likely okay, but next time, try just a damp cloth for cleaning. It’s less risky and usually all you need!

How long will the risk of damage last? I really don’t want to keep cleaning like this!
