I'm interested in getting into PC gaming after being a console gamer for a while, but I feel like I'm trying to build my PC at a tough time. I have a 5120x1440 monitor, and I know my setup is going to be pricey. I've heard mixed opinions about buying parts gradually. Can I buy components over time and test them as they arrive to ensure they work? Additionally, what kind of build would you recommend that can handle around 120fps for games like Call of Duty and Battlefield 6?

I totally get where you're coming from. I waited too long in 2021 and regretted it! Just got a 5070 Ti last week because I was worried about the price going up.
I just finished a full rebuild. Scored a good deal on a motherboard, cooler, 32GB DDR5 RAM, new processor, GPU, and power supply for about a grand. It can definitely work out without breaking the bank!
Honestly, if you're considering building a PC, I'd suggest doing it now. The market isn't looking great for the future, and you may end up with an even pricier setup later.
Right? Starting to feel like we might end up in debt just to keep up with the tech!
Now's actually a prime time to grab GPUs before prices go up again, especially if you're eyeing something like a 5070 Ti or 9070 XT to match that high-resolution monitor. Don't hesitate too much; it may not get better from here!
Do you think the 7800X3D or 9800X3D would be a better match for that? I'm not sure which one to go for.

But would a $1000 build actually hit close to 120fps on my monitor? Just curious if that's feasible.
