What can I do if my Seasonic CORE GX 750W lacks enough PCIe cables for my GPU?

I recently upgraded both my power supply unit (PSU) and graphics card. My PSU is the Seasonic CORE GX 750W, which is modular, and my GPU is an ASUS Prime Radeon RX 9070 XT that requires three 8-pin PCIe power connectors. Here's the issue: the CORE GX 750W doesn't come with enough PCIe cables for a GPU that needs three separate 8-pins. The store I bought it from had images showing a 850W version that does include an extra PCIe cable, but the 750W specifically lacks that. Currently, I can only connect two PCIe cables, and they have to be daisy-chained, which feels risky. I noticed that the PSU comes with two CPU cables, but not enough PCIe cables, even though the modular ports are labeled similarly. I found a Seasonic 12V-2x6 cable that splits into two 6+2 PCIe connectors. Can I use that to connect both ends without the 12V-2x6? I'm hoping to avoid buying a completely new PSU, but what are my options?

It looks like your PSU only has one PCIe 6+2 cable with two connectors, which is a bummer. You might be able to use one of those pigtails to connect a third cable, but just make sure that whatever you use is compatible with Seasonic to avoid damaging your GPU. If you can, I'd recommend returning the 750W PSU and getting the 850W version instead since it includes the extra cables you'd need. That would save you a lot of hassle in the long run.

Totally get the frustration! It's odd that they didn't provide an extra cable for the 750W. I had similar issues when I was building my rig, but in my case, I found a compatible cable online. Just double-check the compatibility before getting a new cable, as it’s crucial!
