Should I switch to air cooling or stick with my AIO for my Ryzen 7?

I'm currently using an all-in-one (AIO) cooler in my NZXT case, but I've been noticing my CPU temperatures are quite high, around 90 degrees Celsius. I have a Ryzen 7 5800X, and I've read that it can handle up to 92 degrees. However, I'm still concerned about these temps, especially since they've been high for at least a year, even after I changed the thermal paste. Do you think I should upgrade to a better AIO, switch to an air cooler like the Thermal Assassin, or is my setup okay for now?

Have your CPU temps always been this high? With the NZXT case, airflow is definitely an issue, especially with AIOs. If you go for an air cooler like the Peerless Assassin, you’ll likely see similar results. I'd suggest adding some better fans to the front of your case and keeping it clean. If you're considering a case upgrade in summer, that could be a good time to address cooling and look into your GPU as well!

Honestly, if you're hitting those kinds of temperatures with an AIO, switching to air cooling might not help much. I'd really recommend looking into better airflow for your case first. Running at 90 degrees is pretty concerning and can throttle your CPU. If you're worried about it, consider getting a new case for better cooling instead of just swapping coolers.
