I'm looking to build a new PC for my work in game development, 3D modeling, and gaming. My old machine is about 6 years old and struggling to keep up—my GPU is broken, and I suspect the motherboard isn't doing so well either. I typically use high-end tools like Unreal Engine (focusing on features like nanite and lumen), Blender, Maya, Zbrush, and Substance Painter. I also like to squeeze in some gaming when I can. I want to use my existing peripherals, but I need a new tower. My budget started at $2500, but I'm realizing that RAM prices can really add up. Are there any components where I might be overdoing it or areas where I could upgrade instead? I'm also checking out some bundles that could work out better.

For a balanced setup focusing on both productivity and gaming, you might consider the MSI combo deal I found. It includes an AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D and has pretty good value. Here's a better list for your needs that ends up being under $3k:
It's a good idea to look for bundle deals for your motherboard and CPU, especially considering RAM pricing. Sometimes you can find decent SSD prices in bundles as well. If you have a Microcenter nearby, I definitely recommend checking their bundles, they're usually pretty solid!
I'll keep an eye on bundles and maybe check out the Microcenter in my area—it's a bit of a drive but sounds worth it. Thanks for the tip!
I found a nice build bundle at Microcenter that has the Ryzen 7 7800X3D along with a decent motherboard and some good RAM. They often have promotions that can help you save a good chunk of money. Just picked up the 9800X3D bundle, but check if there are similar deals available now.
The bundle sounds like a great option. I’ll look for similar deals; I hope they have something like that available!
Just a heads up, you probably don't need the 6000/CL30 RAM unless you’re really pushing your system for gaming specifically. With today’s pricing, it might be more beneficial to focus on other components like more CPU cores for development tasks instead of RAM speed. Plus, the X3D variant might not give you much of an edge for tasks aside from gaming.
Thanks for the insight! I was leaning towards those specs, so it's good to know I can adjust without losing much performance.

Looks like a great combo! The liquid cooler and more powerful parts for the price sound pretty appealing. Appreciate the help with this!
