Are My PC Parts Compatible and Reasonably Priced?

I'm considering building a new gaming PC and have put together the following components: an Intel Core i7-14700K CPU, a Thermalright Peerless Assassin CPU cooler, a Gigabyte Z790 Eagle AX motherboard, 32GB of Corsair Vengeance RGB RAM, a Samsung 990 Pro SSD, an MSI GeForce RTX 5070 GPU, an MSI 850W power supply, an NZXT H5 mid tower case, some Corsair RGB fans, and an Asus gaming monitor. The total cost comes to about $4,154.77. My questions are: Are all these parts compatible with each other? Do you think this build is overkill for modern gaming, and is the price reasonable or should I be looking for cheaper alternatives?

Good list overall, but there's a lot of room to optimize. For example, the thermal paste usually comes with your cooler, so you might not need to buy it separately. And consider swapping out the PSU for something like the RM850 or a similar model for better value. You could definitely put together a more balanced build without overspending!

Honestly, this build seems a bit overpriced, especially if you're considering USD pricing. If this is in Australian dollars, then it makes a bit more sense! But I'd still suggest checking if you really need the i7-14700K. The i7-14600K is a solid choice for gaming without much lag and is typically cheaper. Also, your GPU choice might not be the best; there are better options out there that could save you some cash.

Yeah, I agree! There are definitely more affordable GPUs that perform just as well for gaming.
