My Sansui Monitor Won’t Display After Moving My PC – What Should I Do?

I recently relocated my PC to my bedroom table due to some remodeling in the family game room. I'm using a Sansui 1440p 144Hz monitor connected via a DisplayPort cable. It used to display just fine when I powered on the PC, but now it doesn't seem to turn on at all. I've double-checked that both the DisplayPort and power cables are securely plugged in, and I've tried switching between DisplayPort 1 and 2 on the monitor. I even unplugged both cables, plugged them back in, and tried powering on the monitor again, but nothing works! I'm feeling really frustrated. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

That sounds frustrating! Since your PC is powering up and the parts are lit, it might be an issue with a loose connection somewhere. Sometimes when you move things around, components can get a bit jostled. Check the graphics card specifically; make sure it's seated properly in the PCIe slot.

It sounds like the monitor might be faulty if you’ve tried different cables and outlets without success. A good test is to plug the monitor directly into the wall instead of the surge protector, just to rule that out. If that doesn’t work, it could be worth checking the PC too, since you've mentioned it doesn't display on your TV either.
