I'm currently juggling freelance web development work for 11 different clients, managing a mix of Shopify, WordPress, and custom projects. Each client pays a monthly retainer, and they rely on me to keep everything running. However, I often find myself anxious about whether something has broken—like a contact form or payment flow—without me being aware. It's really disheartening when I hear from a client that they're not receiving contact form submissions, as it makes me seem unreliable.

I've tried setting up monitoring, but most tools only notify me if an entire site is down. Factory-driven checklists for each site are daunting and would require around 20 hours a week of unpaid work. I feel like there should be a more efficient way to automatically verify that critical functionalities are working across all client websites. Most existing testing tools seem built for larger companies with extensive QA teams rather than freelancers like me who are managing multiple small projects. How do other freelancers address these worries? Is there a solid solution available, or is it just a matter of waiting for clients to inform me of issues?
