Hey everyone, I'm experiencing a strange issue with my Dell Inspiron 15 3530 (16GB RAM) when I connect it to my GIQ USB C Hub docking station. This laptop becomes extremely slow and almost unusable for hours after I plug it in, whereas my other laptops work just fine with the same docking station. After around 6 hours, the performance returns to normal. I've already updated the drivers, checked the Device Manager, and monitored CPU, GPU, and RAM usage, but nothing seems out of the ordinary. Has anyone else faced this issue, and how can I troubleshoot it more effectively? Thanks!

This might be happening due to the quality of your docking station. I've had similar issues with off-brand hubs like GIQ. Trust me, investing in a reputable brand, especially a Dell docking station, could make a significant difference. Once you get a quality dock, make sure to use Dell Command Update to install the right driver for smoother operation. Just a heads-up, what you have is more of a USB hub with video capability than a true docking station, which might be contributing to the slowness you’re experiencing.

Thanks for the insight! If it turns out to be a problem with the docking station, why is it only affecting my Dell and not my other laptops? Also, would a Dell docking station work with my other non-Dell laptops?
