I'm exploring Linux Mint and Fedora in virtual machines to figure out which one I want to switch to for my main PC. I find the interface of Mint more appealing, but I'm having some trouble accessing NTFS network drives. In Fedora, I can easily enter the path like `smb://server.local/` in the file explorer, but I can't seem to find a similar option in Mint's file manager. Can anyone help me out with this?

Make sure you have `cifs-utils` installed; that's essential for accessing NTFS shares. After that, you should be able to connect just fine! You can use a similar path to what you used in Fedora, just enter it in the address bar of your Mint file explorer.

I have `cifs-utils` installed, but I'm still stuck. In Fedora, there's a box at the bottom of the explorer for entering paths directly. Is there a similar feature in Mint, or do I have to do something else?
