What’s the Best GPU Upgrade for My Current PC?

I'm looking to upgrade my PC's GPU for better performance, but I want to make sure I get the best value for my money. My current setup, which I built about three years ago, includes a B660M Pro RS motherboard, a 12th Gen i5-12400 CPU, an AMD Radeon RX 6650 XT, 16 GB of RAM (though I can't recall the brand), and a 1TB SSD (brand also forgotten). I had considered building a new PC, but that's too expensive right now. What GPU would you recommend for my system to improve gaming performance without breaking the bank?

Honestly, if your current setup is running fine, you might not need an upgrade just yet. I have an RX 7600 8GB, and it handles everything I've played smoothly.

So far, I haven't had any issues, but I am eyeing a newer game that requires slightly better specs.

You might want to consider the 5070; it pairs really well with a 12400. And don’t forget, adding another 16GB of RAM could also boost your performance!

Yeah, I was looking at the 5070 the other day, and I'm definitely planning to add more RAM.

You could consider the new Radeon cards. They're usually cheaper than Nvidia and offer great value. The 9070XT with 16GB could be a solid choice, especially since you already have an AMD card.

Thanks for the suggestion!

For a clear upgrade choice, I'd say look into the 5090. However, the right choice does depend on your monitor's resolution and refresh rate. What kind of games are you playing?

I have two monitors at 1920x1080, and I play games like RDR2 and Frontiers of Pandora.
