I recently got my first gaming PC, which has a 9800x3d CPU and a 9070xt GPU. So far, I feel like it should be running smoother on games like Fortnite and Assetto Corsa, even though it does well on Valorant and some other titles. I bought it prebuilt for $1400 during Cyber Monday, and it comes with 2TB of storage. My monitor is a 1440p 260Hz setup. Are there any settings I can adjust or tips to enhance my gameplay? Is this PC solid enough for good performance, or should I keep my expectations in check?

First off, make sure your monitor is configured to run at 1440p and 260Hz. That's a common mistake—sometimes it defaults to 60Hz. If you've already done that, look at your in-game settings. You may need to lower graphics settings in Fortnite or Assetto Corsa for smoother performance. Also, check if your drivers for the GPU are up to date; that could help a lot.

I did update the resolution and refresh rate, but it still feels like there are frame drops now and then. I thought with this setup, I should at least be able to maintain a solid 180 frames per second without any hiccups.
