I'm looking for some input on which AI tools people are currently using to create website mockups based on prompts. I'm not a designer—I learned web development before AI tools became popular, and now I'm working on a hobby project involving HTML and CSS. My main struggle is with design. I don't use any UI libraries, and whenever I try to modify the layout or visuals, it usually doesn't turn out well. While I feel comfortable with the coding aspect, I find it challenging to come up with solid design components. Are there any AI tools available that can help generate website designs or mockups simply from prompts?

Honestly, I think you're going about it the wrong way. It would be better to use UI libraries and learn how to customize them properly. If you're struggling with that, implementing everything from scratch can be way more complex than you think.
You might want to consider hiring a designer eventually, but I totally get wanting to figure things out on your own first. Just checking if any tools out there can help with that before making any decisions.
We're currently using Figma AI for our mockups, and it's been great. It's user-friendly and has a lot of features tailored for this kind of work.
GitHub Copilot Pro is solid if you have a basic understanding of design principles. Also, knowing a front-end UI library like Bootstrap or Material Design can be really helpful. But if you're just looking for a straightforward design tool, Figma is a great pick!

Isn't that just an AI coding helper? I’m just after something that can assist me with mockup designs since my design skills are pretty limited.
