Hey everyone, I'm running into a bit of a problem with my C drive. I have about 80 GB of free space on it and just 1 GB left on my D drive. I was hoping to shrink my C drive by 60 GB to create a new partition, but Windows 11's disk management tool isn't letting me do that. It gives me an error saying "you cannot shrink volume beyond a point."
I've tried following some YouTube videos where they suggested turning off hibernation and adjusting settings, but that didn't work for me. I also downloaded a tool called "EaseUS Partition" but it's asking me to upgrade to the pro version because of BitLocker encryption on my C drive.
Does anyone know of a safe and user-friendly disk partition management tool for Windows 11 that's either free or very cheap? I'm not very technical, so I'd prefer something with a clear graphical interface. For reference, my total SSD size is 512 GB, with 336 GB used on C drive and 88 GB free, while the D drive has 80 GB used and only 1 GB free. Thanks for any help!

Just out of curiosity, why do you want to shrink your C drive? It might help to know the reason behind it.
To shrink your C drive, you’ll need to turn off BitLocker first, which protects your drive. After it’s unencrypted, backup any important data before you try resizing. Once that's done, you can go back and turn BitLocker on again. Remember to save your BitLocker key somewhere safe so you don’t lose access.
You can use a tool like MiniTool Partition Wizard. It’s user-friendly and has a free version that might do what you need. Just make sure to follow the steps carefully to avoid data loss.
What's MiniTool? I'm not familiar with it. Is it easy to use?

Thanks! How do I turn off BitLocker? And what's the deal with printing the key?
