How can I clean up the Windows Installer folder on Windows 11?

I'm trying to free up space on my SSD because the Windows/Installer folder is taking up 23GB, which is a lot on my small hard drive. I've already used Disk Cleanup and Patch Cleaner, but neither of them have managed to remove any files from that location. I'm looking for any alternative methods to delete those files. Also, are there other areas in Windows 11 where I can clean up to gain more space?

Have you given Windows Storage Sense a try? After I upgraded from Windows 10 to 11, it was the only tool that really helped me clear out those stubborn files in the installer folder. It might be worth looking into. There's a bunch of guides online on how to use it effectively!

Honestly, if you can, just add a larger internal SSD and leave your current C drive alone for Windows. This way, you can offload programs and files elsewhere without stressing about space.

If you're having trouble with the Windows Installer folder, making sure to run Disk Cleanup as an administrator can help. Just right-click on it and select 'Run as administrator.' After it calculates, check all the boxes of items to delete. Sometimes those services restart quickly, so if you're trying other methods, you have to act fast on renaming the folder before they kick in. This utility might save you from doing it manually.
