How can I disable fingerprint authentication in Outlook and Yahoo on my Samsung phone?

I've been using fingerprint authentication to quickly unlock my Samsung phone, but it's become a hassle. My email apps, both Outlook and Yahoo, keep asking for my fingerprint every time I log in, which is really frustrating. I want to go back to using my password like I used to.

I've already disabled fingerprint in my phone's settings, but the email and authenticator apps still keep asking for it. I feel like this is unnecessary and intrusive. Is there a way to completely remove the fingerprint requirement from these apps? Why are they so persistent about this? I'm already annoyed with being forced into 2FA for work and school. Any help would be appreciated!

Honestly, you're not alone in this feeling. Many people are frustrated with being forced to use fingerprints or 2FA nowadays. I can't tell you exactly how to disable it for those apps, but I fully understand where you're coming from. It seems like tech companies keep adding layers of security without giving us the option to choose, which is irritating.

Definitely! Many apps are just getting too invasive. It's worth checking any available settings or updates, as companies sometimes make changes that could help with this kind of thing.

It sounds like you're really frustrated, and I get it. However, disabling fingerprint authentication isn't that straightforward in these apps. You might want to check the settings within both Outlook and Yahoo to see if there's an option to disable it directly, but it can be buried sometimes. It's definitely not just security theater—fingerprints help provide an extra layer of security, but I understand it can be annoying.

I had the same issue! What worked for me was diving into the app settings. Sometimes these features are hidden under security settings or privacy sections. Good luck!
