I'm trying to build my first gaming PC and I've got a list of parts I want to use. I'm pretty new to this, so any feedback would be great! I'm planning to use it mainly for modded Minecraft, Hytale, FPS games like Counter-Strike 2, Roblox, and FL Studio (with moderately-sized projects) at 1440p. My budget is around $1000. Here's what I have so far:
- **RAM:** G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 3600 - $125
- **GPU:** Asus Tuf 3070Ti (purchased used) - $300
- **CPU:** AMD Ryzen 7 5800XT 8-Core - $210
- **Motherboard:** MSI B550 TOMAHAWK MAX WIFI - $160
- **PSU:** Super Flower Combat DB 650W - $87
- **Case:** NZXT H5 Flow 2024 - $85
- **SSD:** Crucial P310 2TB NVMe M.2 - $191
Will this setup run games smoothly at 1440p? Any suggestions for improvements?

Your build looks pretty solid for 1440p gaming! I'd recommend checking compatibility and prices on PCPartPicker to see if you can save a bit or improve parts. One thing I'd suggest is upgrading the PSU to at least 850W, you can find quality options like the Montech Century 2 for around $90, which ensures you have enough power for any upgrades later on.
$300 seems a bit steep for a used 3070Ti—I've seen them go for around $250 or even negotiate down to $200 in my area, might want to keep that in mind.
Just a heads up, your 8GB of VRAM might be a limitation for future titles. And yeah, I didn't realize $300 for that 3070Ti was going to be high. If you're coming from integrated graphics, pretty much any upgrade will feel like a boost!
Don’t skimp on the PSU! Make sure it’s high quality, and consider adding extra fans if your case supports more for better airflow.
I'm offering a 3080 with 10GB for $300 if you're located near Dallas. Just putting it out there!
