Need Help Choosing Between Ryzen CPUs for Gaming

I'm purchasing my first gaming PC and I'm stuck between two Ryzen CPUs: the Ryzen 5 9600x with 32GB of RAM or the Ryzen 7 7700 with 16GB. My main focus is on gaming, especially AAA and FPS titles, but I also do some light Photoshop work. Which setup would be better for my needs?

Honestly, both CPUs will perform pretty similarly for gaming. However, if you do any production work, the Ryzen 7 7700 with its 8 cores might handle that better, but you might struggle with just 16GB of RAM. I’d still lean towards the Ryzen 5 9600x with 32GB.

If the prices are similar, I’d totally go for the 9600x. The extra 16GB of RAM is a game changer, especially with AAA games, Discord, Spotify, and various game launchers running in the background. Having 32GB just makes things smoother and more hassle-free. The 9600x has a slight edge in single-core performance, but don't worry about the multi-core stuff; it's not a huge difference, and you can always upgrade the CPU later if you want.

Yeah, I second that! For gaming and multitasking, the Ryzen 5 9600x with 32GB is definitely the way to go. That extra RAM will help a lot, especially if you're not good at closing tabs while gaming!
