Looking for Recommendations on Ergonomic Office Chairs Under $700 for Back Pain Relief

I've been struggling with lower back pain lately, and I think my cheap gaming chair is to blame. I spend long hours at my desk, so I'm in the market for a high-quality ergonomic office chair that will support my back properly. My budget is under $700—does anyone have suggestions for chairs that have worked well for them?

You should definitely check out the Steelcase Leap chair! You can often find it on Craigslist for around $400 or less in bigger cities. Personally, it’s my favorite; nothing else even comes close!

Totally agree! That chair is a game changer!

Used HM Aerons can be found for around $500. They’ve helped me eliminate all my back pain, making long sitting sessions much easier.

I'd suggest looking into Steelcase, but make sure you have a return option. I tried a Steelcase before that was great for others but just didn’t suit me at all. If you can, visiting a store to try out the chairs is the best way to go!

Also, try incorporating some core workouts into your routine! Strengthening your core can alleviate some back pain. I found hanging from a pull-up bar for a minute daily really helps too!

If you're open to used options, you can get Aeron chairs for about $500 on eBay. I've had mine for years, and it's been amazing for my back. Gaming chairs are more about style than actual support, so I highly recommend going for an ergonomic chair instead.

After my spinal fusion, I went for the Steelcase Leap V2 and I absolutely love it. I found it on Crandall Office Furniture's website and it’s been perfect for my needs.

A Steelcase Leap or Gesture might be your best bet! I got my Leap refurbished from Crandall and it's still holding strong after a couple of moves. Keep in mind, finding the right chair is personal—what works for me might not work for you, so test them out if possible!

I bought a Herman Miller Mirra 2 about 25 years ago, and it’s still fantastic! It's not as pricey as the Aeron but still has similar features. I hear you can find used ones occasionally, but they tend to be slightly above your budget.

I bought an HM Aeron 4 years ago, and it was a pricey purchase—but honestly, one of the best investments I've made for my back! I work from home, and it’s been totally worth it.

Steelcase Gesture is another good option! I managed to snag a refurbished one for a reasonable price, too.
