I'm in the process of building my first PC, but my motherboard didn't come with any screws. I've searched the box thoroughly, and I even tried taking one from a broken SSD I had from my PlayStation, but that doesn't fit either. The only screw I could find is from the back of my MacBook, but it's too small to secure the motherboard. Can anyone recommend what size screw I need, or suggest something to temporarily hold it down until I can get the right screws? I'm really far from any stores that sell PC parts, so any advice would be a huge help!

For most PC builds, the standard screw is a #6-32 thread, usually about 1/4 inch long. Sometimes, M3 screws are used, but you’ll find the #6-32 x 1/4 is the most common. If you can find those, they should work perfectly.
Sometimes, the case you have will come with a bag of screws, so double-check that if you haven't already! Just keep in mind that some screws can be too big for the motherboard, so size matters here.
Unfortunately, they were all too large for my motherboard.
You might want to order a PC screw kit online, like this one from Amazon. They have all kinds of screws and standoffs that could come in handy. If there's a local computer store like Best Buy or Micro Center, you could check there too.
Great, I just ordered a kit in case more screws are missing!

Thank you for the info!
