Looking to Upgrade My PC with a Graphics Card – Any Recommendations Around $300-$400?

I built my PC over a year ago and have been using an APU, which has worked fine for playing games like League of Legends and StarCraft 2 on low settings. However, I'm planning to add a second monitor and have noticed my APU struggling with some indie games. I'm not into AAA games due to their recent trends, and I also want to get into video editing as a hobby, which my current setup can't handle well. Here's my current build:

- **Motherboard:** B550M PRO-VDH WIFI
- **Power Supply:** ASUS TUF GAMING 650W
- **APU:** AMD Ryzen 7 5700G
- **Cooler:** Stock fan (might look to upgrade)
- **RAM:** 32GB TEAMGROUP T-Force Vulcan Z DDR4 3200MHz (8GBx4)
- **Storage:** 475GB SSD with about 57GB free (need suggestions for upgrades)
- **Case:** Vetroo M01 Compact Micro ATX Mini ATX Gaming PC Case

Any advice on a graphics card within my budget of $300-$400 would be really appreciated. Thanks!

Yeah, the "memory" you've got is more of a hard drive/SSD. For video editing, you’ll need more space, ideally a second storage drive. For GPUs, the 6800 XT is a great choice and it fits your budget slightly over, at around $350-$400. Check your local markets for used alternatives like GTX 1080 or even a 1080 Ti at reasonable prices. Just be careful with used cards since they might have a hard life from mining.

Got it! I’ve been curious about the Intel Arc B580; heard it’s good for video editing but finding one at MSRP is harder than it seems.

For your GPU, keep an eye out for a used Nvidia card. This year, people are often selling their older cards after upgrades, so you might score a 4060 Ti with 16GB for around $350. It could be a sweet spot for your needs! Also, if you can find an NVMe SSD for about $120, that could significantly up your storage game even if it leaves you with around $280 for the GPU. Totally worth it!

I live in South West Florida, so local options can be tricky, but I’ll see what I can find. Thanks for the tips!

Any particular reason everyone's pushing Nvidia cards? I used to hear a lot about AMD.
