I'm new to Linux and looking for a user-friendly version to install on my Lenovo Flex14 laptop, which has a Ryzen 3500u and an upgraded Intel Wireless NIC. I want something easy to set up, as I primarily use my desktop PC and want to make this laptop faster than Windows 11. Any recommendations?

If you're not keen on Mint's appearance, you might want to try Fedora with the GNOME desktop. It's still user-friendly while offering a different aesthetic.

For an easy start, Mint is a safe bet. But if you're looking to learn more about Linux, try cachyOS, which allows for a bit more exploration while remaining user-friendly.

A great way to find the right distro is to create a multi-ISO live USB using a tool like Ventoy. You can test different live Linux versions without installing them. Most mainstream distros are easy to use nowadays; just find one that you feel comfortable with.

Linux Mint is widely recommended as one of the easiest distros to install and use. It has a familiar layout for new users, which makes the transition smoother.

Fedora is also a solid choice. If you're coming from Mac, try Fedora Workstation. However, if you're used to Windows, go for Fedora with KDE Plasma. Just download some ISOs and explore what suits you best!
