I'm worried someone might be remotely accessing my computer. It all started when I left my PC on while I was away for a night at my grandparents' house to run a Minecraft server. When I got back, I noticed a bunch of suspicious tabs open in Chrome related to lottery scams.
Then, while planning to play Genshin Impact, I noticed that an update had already been downloaded—even though I was going to do it later myself. I suspect Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) might be involved. Does anyone know how I can check if someone is actually using my PC remotely? I'm on Windows 11 Pro, by the way.

Sounds like you might be dealing with adware if those lottery tabs popped up. It’s not uncommon for that to happen when you have adware lurking. Check your installed programs to see if anything looks odd, and run a scan with something like Malwarebytes. Also, make sure your automatic updates setting is what you want, just to be safe.
To check for remote access, start by looking into how you've set up your Minecraft server. Did you do any port forwarding or use tunnels? Also, check the Event Viewer for any logs related to Remote Desktop. Look under Applications and Services Logs > Microsoft > Windows > TerminalServices-RemoteConnectionManager > Operational to see any access attempts.
Any pets at your place? Sometimes animals can trigger updates if they walk on keyboards or inadvertently click stuff. If not, running an offline antivirus scan can help identify any lurking threats.
If you're really concerned, the safest bet might be to reinstall your OS. This will wipe everything and should clear out any unwanted access, but make sure to back up your important data first!
