What can I do with my extra 400GB of disk space?

Hey everyone! I'm new to Linux and currently running two lightweight distros. I allocated 30GB to each and have set aside a 50GB home partition, but honestly, I'm way underutilizing that space. My PC came with 500GB of storage, which means I've got around 400GB of unused disk space. I'm wondering if you all have any fun or practical suggestions for what I could do with it?

If you find yourself needing more space, consider allocating more to your home directory. 50GB can fill up quickly with games, documents, and photos. It's better to have a little extra room just in case!

One cool idea is to set up a Kiwix server and start building an archive of important documents. You'd be amazed at how much you can fit in that space; for example, all of Wikipedia (text + images) takes up about 103GB, and Project Gutenberg is around 72GB. That way, you'll have a ton of offline content readily available!

If it’s an SSD, leaving some space empty can actually help increase its lifespan. Still, more space on your distros and home directory will be useful for all the apps you'll want to install later. Believe me, it fills up fast!

Why not use that space to download a couple of modern AAA games? With 400GB, you can grab about 2-3 big titles without running into storage issues.

Definitely! Just be mindful of your storage usage. It can fill up faster than you think!

Thinking outside the box, you could even consider creating a massive swap space with that 400GB if you really need it. Just an option, but might come in handy!
