My PC just updated to Windows 11, and it all seemed to go well, but now it's stuck on the screen saying "you're 100% there, please keep your computer on" for over two hours. I have a Dell and I'm not super tech-savvy. I've tried rebooting, but it always returns to this same screen. Occasionally, I also get a "no DP signal" error. I'm looking for some guidance on what I should do next! Should I keep waiting or is there a better solution?

The "no DP signal" message is probably just the screen going to sleep; it should wake back up when you move the mouse. If a reboot just brings you back to the same update screen, it might be time to consider a repair or clean install. If your PC is somewhat recent (like from the last few years), it probably has an SSD, which usually speeds things up. Older models with hard drives can really struggle with long updates.
Honestly, I’d just let it run overnight and see if it sorts itself out by morning. I've had systems take hours, and rebooting often causes more delays. Just keep your fingers crossed for a smooth fix by morning! If it’s still stuck when you check in the morning, we can tackle it then.

Got it! I was worried the ‘no signal’ meant it wasn’t updating at all. My PC is from 2019, so I think it does have an SSD. I've been a bit anxious while trying to force reset it, thinking it might help, but maybe that’s just slowing things down. Thanks for the reassurance!
