I'm completely new to building PCs and currently using a 4-year-old pre-built system that doesn't have great performance. I'm looking to upgrade but I'm feeling overwhelmed trying to understand what components are good and if they'll actually work together. I've tried using PCPartPicker, but it seems more like just a big list rather than very informative—maybe I'm missing something? I would really appreciate any basic tutorials or tips on what to consider when selecting parts for a gaming PC. I'd rather not spend hours watching YouTube videos for every single component. Thanks!

It might help to share your current PC specs first. Sometimes it's better to just upgrade certain components rather than build from scratch. What you got?
You can check out this beginner's guide online for a good starting point: https://www.buildapc.wiki/beginnersguide. It has lots of valuable info specifically for newbies like yourself!

I have 8GB of RAM, a Ryzen 3 3200G, and a Radeon Vega 8 Graphics card. Does that help?
