I've got a 5070ti that I currently have connected with a single pigtail plug, and I've recently learned that this setup might not be safe for my GPU. I found a type 4 PCIe cable in my drawer, which I think belongs to my PSU since I didn't have a semi-modular PSU before. Is there a way to check if this cable will work with my Corsair t750m PSU? If the cables are incompatible, will it damage my GPU right away? I just want to know if I'll be risking it if I decide to use this cable.

If you're not 1000% sure that this cable is meant for your specific PSU, it's better to buy compatible cables. It's a lot cheaper than replacing a damaged GPU in this market.
I can't confirm that the cable you found matches your PSU. If it's the wrong one, it will likely kill your GPU instantly—this isn't a gradual damage situation.
Different brands often use distinct pinouts, so I really advise against using random cables unless you're confident they're the same as the ones you currently have.
Corsair does label their cables with types, and your PSU is compatible with a type-4 PCIe cable, so you're in the clear with this setup. Just remember it’s not the same with every brand. Others like EVGA have different pinouts, even for the same model.
Using the wrong pinout can indeed kill your GPU. If you have a multimeter, you could check the pins to ensure they match up correctly.
