I'm currently building a PC and I've noticed that my motherboard has 10 mounting holes while my case only has 9 standoffs. I'm wondering if it's alright to leave one of the holes empty, or if I might be missing something important in the setup.

Double-check your case package; there might be spare standoffs included. If you’re missing one, it won’t be a big issue as long as the critical areas have support, especially around where the power supply connects.
