I'm looking to enhance my gaming experience and need some advice on what to upgrade first. Currently, I have a 1080p monitor, but I'm eager to move up to a 1440p monitor and would prefer to handle most games at fairly high settings. Here's my setup:

**CPU:** Intel Core i7-9700 3.0 GHz 8-Core Processor
**CPU Cooler:** be quiet! Dark Rock Slim CPU Cooler
**Motherboard:** ASUS TUF B365M-PLUS GAMING Micro-ATX (LGA1151)
**Storage:** Samsung 990 Pro 2 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe SSD
**Graphics Card:** EVGA BLACK GAMING GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER 8 GB
**Power Supply:** SeaSonic FOCUS GX-750 ATX 3.0 — 750 W, 80+ Gold, Fully Modular

You might want to focus on upgrading your GPU first, especially since you're planning to increase your monitor resolution. The CPU could also use an upgrade, especially with how RAM prices are these days. If you're making the jump, consider a Ryzen 5000 series or Intel's latest i5 options, but these would require a new motherboard.

Perfect. Thank you!

It really depends on how much you plan to spend on the monitor versus upgrades. Think about what games you play and where you want your FPS to be. While you want high graphics settings, it’s good to clarify your target FPS to guide your upgrade choices.

I'm not too worried about the monitor just yet; I'm aiming for a 144hz 1440p monitor eventually. I play various games, from Cities Skylines to Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, and I'm looking to hit at least 60 FPS.
