I built my PC back in February 2025, and recently, I've noticed that the GPU fans have become really loud every time I launch a game. I've checked for dust, updated my GPU drivers, Windows, and even my BIOS, but nothing seems to work. The fans run fine when I'm just browsing the web or watching videos, but they go into overdrive as soon as I start a game. I tried adjusting the fan settings to silent mode using NZXT CAM and setting a custom fan curve in MSI Afterburner, but I'm still at a loss. Just a side note: I did have my power supply replaced under warranty recently due to another issue, and I'm wondering if that's related. I'd really appreciate any help or insights on this!

If your fans are still acting up despite being clean and updated, it might be worth checking the power settings in Windows. Sometimes the system can have aggressive power-saving modes that interact weirdly with GPU performance, especially after hardware changes like a PSU replacement.
Have you checked the temperature of your GPU while gaming? High temps can cause the fans to ramp up. If it's around 50°C-65°C, that's actually pretty good! So, it seems something else might be triggering the fans to go wild.
Yeah, that temp seems decent. Maybe it’s software-related? Sometimes, certain games can push settings that trigger the fans even if temps aren’t super high.

That's a great point! I’ll look into the power settings to see if anything seems off. Thanks!
